I've been using custom colourz spray paint, the last shell i did with them came out fine no problems but this time i've had some flaking i always put the tins on the radiator to warm them and shake them thoroughly, the only thing notably different when i sprayed this time was the outside temp. it was mild as apposed to warm but probably only degrees. By backing how do you mean i usually finish with a complete coat of white then mask the inside of the shell to protect it from the inside.
