To be honest, i've always believed that if a Tyre works it will wear out.....
It would be great if tyres lasted for loads and loads of races but realistically i think the absolute most you can really ever expect to get out of a tyre (that's working) is about 4/5 races without the slightest loss in performance.... they will probably work a bit longer but you can't expect the performance not to drop as physically speaking it shouldn't really be possible if they're gripping?
I'm sure Nats are still the same if not worse as a few years ago, and realistically you were lucky to get more then 2 runs out of any tyre that was used, sometimes 1 run a set (anyone remember Ifmar pins at Kiddy.......).
I think if you can up this to a minimum of 3 runs out of a set of tyres that would still be a huge improvement but overall if they work, i think they will still wear out fairly quickly.
