You don't want an x12 though - not if you are running timing advance. They run so much timing as stock they just don't like it. However, if you are running fixed timing (0 timing) class, an X12 might be an advantage.....

Sorry but I have to disagree, I'm running an X12 13.5 in TC with Hobbywing using timing advance and it goes great. I can't say which is best because I haven't used the GM but the X12 is certainly competitive. It is however true to say that the X12 probably won't need as much ESC timing as some other motors.
