I stand corrected.

My thinking would be to try SC10 wheels, as the SCT wheels are a bit narrower, and thus less likely to foul the chassis at full steering lock.

Take a look at the Kyosho DB - it's a 1/8th or 1/9th buggy, using SCT chassis, suspension and wheels (only the bumper and shell are different). It might give you a few ideas - T4 or SC10 chassis, etc. Or go the whole hog with a JConcepts J82 T4 conversion.

I did consider building a Dakar style chassis (with a Tamiya Touareg shell I have) - wheelbase is spot on for a buggy (most likely a 4wd), but would need short wishbones and driveshafts, and of course scale wheels/tyres - Tamiya CC01 stock ones would do nicely, and their lack of grip would prevent the car rolling!
