Checked all the gears etc and they were fine. servos worked when car was in mid air but with wheels on floor they struggled to turn.

in ko's the motors fail after a while normally, had it in a 2123 but it was over 3 year old, loose the torque, that's what that sounds like neil, same symptoms
2 of them in 1 season though sounds strange
. still use a ko pds-2123 to answer the original post.
