It will be interesting to see how many XX4's there are left by the Oswestry National next year (if we run one). I did a count of the cars there this year and the split was
Losi xx: 55 (46.2%)
Jconcepts BJ4: 22 (18.5%)
Yokomo MR4-BX: 11 (9.2%)
S4: 10 (8.4%)
Predator: 6 (5.0%)
Kyosho Lazer: 5 (4.2%)
X-Factory X5: 4 (3.4%)
Hotbodies D4: 3 (2.5%)
Tamiya 501x: 2 (1.7%)
Aero: 1 (0.8%)
The B44 is bound to eat into that number drastically in 2008, especially if a number of the top drivers move to a different car.. there will be a domino effect which can quickly turn into a torrent once a critical mass (or lack of) is reached.
I would run a B44 next year but I have decided to stay with the Yoke now I have it
The argument about which is the best car, who knows, if Cragg, Mossy, Phil, etc all ran Ultima RB5's then that would be the 'best' car I am sure. The driver makes so much of a difference, After all, we are all running practically the same machine now. I for one now know that its my thumbs that keep me in the L final at nationals, not the size of my wallet
