First thing to choose is a software setting. 205MOD is simpler, 528MOD allows you to dial in a small amount of boost and turbo if you are that way inclined.
I run 205MOD and have used it with 13.5 and 8.5 Speed Passion V3 motors.
Try and drive the car with drag brake set to zero. Maximum brakes according to your needs and feel. Timing should be set at the maximum (unless motor temps get too high), Punch should be set according to your own feel, even high settings feel good. Then gear it for good top end on the long straight, keeping an eye on temps. Bring them down by finding the right balance between ESC timing (or mechanical motor timing) and gear ratio.
