If you mount them too high you may get issues with lap counting... most Loops are underneath tracks and their range is limited.

If you mount them too far back then if you ever have a photo finish with another car, the one with the transponder most orward will get the win.
Thanks for the info. Don't suppose you know what diameter hole they use and how big they are. I'll knock up a mount right at the front.
