Would mount the hand out transponder as low and forward as possible,

on the chassis is better from a club organisers point of view as they are less likely to be damaged or cause damage to your bodyshell i you take a big roll.

If you mount them too high you may get issues with lap counting... most Loops are underneath tracks and their range is limited.

If you mount them too far back then if you ever have a photo finish with another car, the one with the transponder most orward will get the win.
