From the entry form:
"The idea behind the National End of Season Finals is simply to bring together the best drivers at formula 2 – 5 grades, as decided by their finishing positions in the various Regional competitions taking place throughout the country during the summer months.
British Regional Championship
Ideally, the best 10 drivers from each Region (excluding Formula 1 grade drivers) would compete for the British Regional Championship (BRC), thus deciding the British Regional Champion. This competition is the logical next step on from your Regional competition. If you have won your Region this is the opportunity to go National and try to beat all the other regional competitors in the country?
In reality, due to work, education or holiday commitments, we rarely get the 10 best drivers attending from each region (i.e. the drivers who finished in positions 1 – 10 in the regional series) so if you would like to take part, it is strongly recommended, even if you finished well down the regional standings, that you submit the following downloadable application form to your Regional Rep. You would be surprised the levels of success some regional reps. achieve in gaining places for their drivers at these competitions!
Formula 3/4/5 Finals
Similar to the BRC, this competition is open to the best 15 drivers from each Region (excluding Formula 1 and 2 grade drivers) as decided by their regional series, to compete to become the British Formula 3/4/5 Champion. Again, a logical next step on from your Regional competition, to decide on a National basis, who are the best drivers at these grades.
Like in the BRC, do not assume that because you finished 19th or 29th in the Region that you will not get a place at this competition. Submit the following downloadable application form to your Regional Rep and he will likely be successful on your behalf.
The Junior Championship
This is the National competition for our younger drivers and is split into two age groups. These are Under 13 and Under 16 as at 1st January of the year of competition.
Traditionally this competition is aimed at the best five U13 and U16 drivers, of any formula grade, from each Region as decided by finishing places in the Regional competition. In reality, numbers in recent year have fallen so we now attempt to accommodate all U13 and U16 drivers wishing to take part in the competition to decide who will become the British Junior Champion in each age group.
To enter please complete the following downloadable application form and submit it to your Regional Rep.
The Veteran Championship
This event is open to any driver of any Formula grade who is over forty years of age as at 1st January of the year of competition.
Historically, this event started life as very much a fun event. The fun is undoubtedly still there but it is amazing how the “banter” stops when things get close at the front end.
Without doubt this event has grown over the years and the competition to become British Veteran Champion is keener now than it has ever been.
To enter please complete the following downloadable application form and submit it to your Regional Rep.
I hope this helps clarify how your Regional competition fits in with the National racing scene and hope to see you racing at the National End of Season Finals later in the year."
