No James, nationals are more popular than ever before. 130 drivers in 2wd with up to 30 odd on the reserve list. It's regionals that aren't what they used to be. In some parts like the North East and Mid West they are still pretty big (we get 70-80 with 2wd and 4wd on seperate days) but other regions have gone down or dissapeared.
I happen to know Paul Worsley has worked really hard with some reagions to help build this back up and this is showing in the south east, east of england etc which is great!!!
Jimmy, you gotta do what you gotta do. Glad you'll be racing again next year and maybe return to the correct region
