To wire in direct power from battery

1st Check the voltage rating of your receiver (I use spektrum 3500 which is rated to 9v

So long as your battery supplies less voltage than receiver will take your good to go

I got 2 spare servo leads

I soldered the power connections of one to their respective power connections on my esc then plugged this into the receiver bat connection.

With the other servo lead I made a female to male extension lead but only connected the two outer wires (signal & ground) then plugged this into the esc normal slot on the receiver and the esc on the other end. This means the esc doesn't try to power the receiver as well.

Your then ready to go, the receiver and servo will power up when you plug in the battery, you just have to remember to switch on the esc as well and all works properly - no more power outs on the receiver
