Yep, I did this before I removed the diff and then again when I installed it and also after the first new run. I also thought that was the obvious reason - i.e. that I'd put it back together wrong!
I would have been liked to be able to slap myself in the face and move on but it hasn't proved to be that easy!
I have a feeling this isn't such an obvious problem but I appreciate being able to collect opinions and cross off the likely causes! Thanks.
