been running yokomo big bores for a month or so on my b44 so thought id share some feedback on em
i am running 40 / 35 oils and standard black springs which does deaden the shocks a little but i find this helps me be a bit aggressive and stops a lot of grip roll i am gonna try slighty softer oils at some point but on my local track ( bury metro) i am happy with the set up at the min
at oople race ( at rhr) i ran the v2 shocks for 3 rounds then swopped to the big bores and found they made the car a bit more settled and predictable on track and it jumped and landed a lot better . it definatley helps landing of big jumps and controlling the car afterwards
also in terms of toughness i think big bores survive bad crashes better i have lost a shock bottom tie rod and bent a shaft once but they dont rip off as easy and are more durable than any standard shocks i have used
all the b44 owners at bury reccomend going back to associated shocks to help set up the car but i prefer the big bores really even if its for the extra durabillity it gives . personally i think they are a slight improvement over normall shocks . even if not a major one.
any one else using the yokomo/ansmann big bore shocks on a b44 got any more set up or oil advice its appreciated
