captainlip, you say the servo draws power from the receiver but you do not mention where the receiver gets its power from. If you are using an ESC it may very well be the problem. Some ( most commonly cheaper) ESCs do not have beefy BEC-circuits to handle the current draw of a poorly designed servo. I have never seen such a problem with competition speced ESCs from LRP and/or Novak.

Savöx servos are OK but draw more Amps than Futaba, Sanwa, Orion and the other high-end servos do. There you have some of the explanation behind Savöx's lower price, they use cheaper components, but du still make OK servos.

While I agree that BLS servos are quite an easy load, Sanwa ERG-servos are even better in that respect. That is something I base on actual testing of current draw during normal use and stalling.
