Dave / Griff, The Tamiya pin is shorter in length than the pins I normally run on the BJ4. Given that force & torque are multiplied by distance and extra length you can get pin wise would help. I use mainly Losi rear wheels though which take a longer pin.

Mike (Balders) do you mean B44 hexes? BJ4 hexes are Losi hexes which are narrow, though they would match Losi wheels perfectly.
