I think its very odd really...i have seen people both love and hate android phones, and love the iphone!
Most people on here are pretty technical and practical people, so can easily manage the more complex (IMO) Android phones. They also love 'playing' with and trying to get the best from their phones, and tweaking and researching how to do stuff on it! Its all part of the fun, and works alongside rc cars i think! I also think that there is a generation gap thing as well....I know a few people say over 45 who have bought a blackberry/android phone, and hated them, as it is too complicated, and non intuitive (there words not mine) They arent too bothered by 'features' but just want a simple phone that works, that backs up easily, syncs nicely there contacts, favourites, notes etc...they also dont mind paying a premium for a simple life

Most of the people who have bought the android phones, and loved them are under 30 so....does that say something, and the phones are more suited to 'facebooking' and tweeting out the box!
The iphone is more expensive granted, and Android currently takes away a large percentage of the market with this...i know its something apple are keen to grab hold of, so expect some more iphone nano's etc coming soon I reckon.
I work in IT, and work with Windows and Linux daily. I simply could not go home and work with Windows on my home computer, dealing with anti-virus, windows updates, so am a converted apple fan. I am not too bothered by apples restrictions, as I have seen the light, and am a lover of itunes, and being legal (not too sure why people bash itunes to be honest, i love it!),but never used it on windows, as it was rubbish on there, maybe thats why...
I do think that apple tie you in to their own products, but I dont mind really, so long as it works, and is simple. I gave my wife a few minutes demo on itunes with her ipod touch, and the app store. Setup the wireless for her, and she is away. Havent had to touch thte thing since last summer lol!
