Ive got stainless screws in most or my cars and the metric screws are stronger but thats down to them being 3mm rather than 2.7. Also the imperial hex is alot smaller on the countersunk screws and is more prone to stripping. Use good quality screws and a mint hex driver and you'll be fine with imperial screws. I bought some cheap ones from Canada and the heads are a shite fit and like butter so beware of cheap ones

RCSCREWZ kits are the best I've had. You get EVERY screw and nut in stainless and the quality is top notch. I paid £15 posted for a B4 kit so expect to pay a bit more for a B44 one but its worth every penny. You even get a stainless bit of threaded bar for the steering link
