I did a lot of testing with the vega 201 and can say that this general rule doesn't apply for the TRF vega.

The car is VERY front heavy and adding weight under the esc and servo will only make things worse.
If you add these weights you will have a balance of 40/60. It's obvious that this will not help the handling of the car at all.

If you want to achieve a descent balance you must add a big under lipo weight, 10gr left and right at the motor, 30gr behind (between the motor and gearbox) the motor and 10gr at the rear. Like this you will have a perfect 35/65 balance.
