Here is a thought without insight in the actual matter:
You can have an approved LiPo cell in its hard case swell ever so slightly that it is not visible to the naked eye or noticeable when carging/discharging but to a precise caliper. I am open to that posibility.

And yes, I assume the organizers have a proper caliper and not some cheap plastic crap.
