Well i passed my test last year at first attempt, ok but i am 33 and to insure a 1.4 2003 civic 3 door cost me....£2700
So i decided to get a quote for a civc type r 2009 plate which quoted £1300.
Mental frankly
Next i decided to see what would happen if i based myself from a differant address same cars price dropped to £700 for either car.

One tip that can reduce price is if the car is shared with an experianced driver BUT the novice driver is the main driver with mum or dad as a named driver. This is not fraud as it just means someone else in the family is also allowed to use the car and the new driver gets to start gaining no claims.
