Seized gearbox bearing? or just dry. try oiling the bearings.... if you flush them before building.

Or the CVDs might be dry, I always kept mine greased up cos mine got warm.

Or possibly the meshing in the gearbox maybe pushing the pinion onto the bearing making them tight.

Or make sure the CVD part that fits over the pinion shaft is located properly and not clamping the bearings.

or its something else binding. just need to go over everything.
