Yes, you are right, it is just an excuse.

I have a terrible habit of hitting the throttle to the max and holding it there, 30 feet from the end of the main straight just as you should be hitting the brakes !

It was really just a test to see if the car could withstand a full frontal impact at close to top speed, making sure I still had plenty of carpet to accellerate on first.

The conclusion was, the car did, the motor mount did not. If you think about it, if you are travelling down one straight at half speed, and another car has crossed the track and coming at you at half speed, that head on impact would be the same as as my 'test' impact at full speed to which the motor mount gave up, bending a £30 rotor as well as the mount snapping.

Anyway, I don't care, I've not got a B44.1 anymore. Just thought I would give you my findings. Personally, if I were going to buy a 4WD, I would turn my brain off and hand over the cash for another B44.1. It's basically the same as the B44 but with a few little changes, and it's got a Li-Po tray as standard.

I'm not sure anything is better than a B44(.1) when you look at 'The Big Picture' and Paul carries the parts !!!!
