Only things i recommend would be the trishbits weight set, which includes under motor weight and under servo weight.

A full set of springs for front and rear.
Some titanium turnbuckles and possibly tapered pistons.
Ive just started to run tapered pistons and found the car to be a little safer on bumpy sections.

Other than that the standard car is brilliant.
You dont need alu gearbox or chassis or any of that to be honest.
Especially being a newbie you wouldnt notice much difference i dont think
