Seen as my name is being mentioned here i feel i should have my say.
First off, in my opinion the MCS is one of the best 2wd cars ive ever had the pleasure of driving.
Yes the car has only been in 2 National A finals, but thats 2 out of 3 this year, with one BQ and win! I only got my hands on the prototype car in June last year, and was one of a very few number of people running the car. Therefore i had no clue about what set ups worked etc until the outdoor season had almost finished.
Since finding the right set ups the results speak for themselves.
1. Silverstone weekender (1st)
2. Worksop indoor series (1st)
3. Chadderton indoor series (1st)
4. Broxtowe Christmas cracker (1st)
5. Petit race (A final)
6. Stotfold National (A final)
7. RHR National (BQ and win)
8. Talywain National (A final and my highest ever 2wd qualifying position)
9. Stannington Regional (1st)
10. Oople invernational (2nd)
As for feeling sorry for me, please don't lol. Im more than happy with the car and the results ive achieved. Im simply not good enough to win a National at the moment or ever for that matter. I quit racing from the age of around 14 and had nearly 9 years away from the hobby, making up for those lost years is too late at my age lol. No matter what car i drove i wouldnt win a National, but the MCS is more than capable of doing so in the right hands.
As for the competition, i know a certain top driver who has won many UK Nationals but not with the Vega, nor did he make the A with the Vega on his home track

.
As for the gearbox situation, i totally understand everyones frustration but Fabs does not have the privilege of being able to make his own gearboxes in house. He has to outsource the work and find someone to make them at a reasonable cost, which is proving difficult. He will get them done but its just a matter of when.
Fabs is a really nice guy who only wants to do right by everyone, im sure he's just as, if not more frustrated than everyone else.
