I just made a general statement..
Could be said about the Vega anyway? shimming layshaft, having to dremel the motormount/heatsink so the wishbone on spur gear side didnt catch etc.. all cars have niggley little things, somemore than others...No question the vega is a nice piece of kit
I think your comment on Fabs car though is a little harsh... the car is good.. and to be fair i dont think you gave your MCS long enough to evaluate properly.. gearbox issues or screw fixings for the gearbox or rear tower again are solved quite easily.. Pimlott who bought yours sorted the car.. hes now sold this on to chris cocker ( he has a drive with another manufacturer ) who at his first national out with it at Talywain made an E final.. I know of someone else who has just got one, so another one will be around...
What you have to remember also is Fabs designed this car from scratch.. so from all his cad drawings to getting 2 prototypes made, then a small production run is not something anyone else probably wouldnt even bother to do.. the cost implications and myther etc... but no Fabs did and deserves some credit.. Nathan Ralls helped him also by driving one.. im sure he'll be along with something to say!
My offer still stands to any MCS owners who want me to take a look at there gearboxes.
