Ive got an X4 pro and yes the threaded part is quite short but still long enough to get your wheels locking in place using nylocs.
I know this wont help now but when i was looking at getting an RC car i looked initially at the blizzard and almost went and got one until i read a few reviews. I then waited till i found an X4 pro second hand and got it. Threaded shocks, slipper clutch
