Like I wrote in the email to you buddy..

sometimes it seems to be unavoidable but it would appear to be static. When doing the shading the overspray is caught by the static on the shell. Just to prevent any contamination on the lexan try to give it a wipe if possible first.
To try and remove the static spray some water on the outside of the shell and gently wipe off in a single direction. not all the water need be removed. or try laying a wet paper towel on the outside of the shell. or have heard of people wiping the outside with a tumble drier sheet to help remove static.

other things are to lower your pressure a bit and try to spray away from the open lexan area.

With the shape of shells and the direction you spray ( like spraying into a bowl) it is very hard for overspray to escape the area without touching the lexan and so sometimes it just happens. Trying various things along with what has been mentioned already can help though.
