I know i'm probably generalising, but back when i was running brushed i did get some of the Ansmann Clash motors which are basically the same as the Saturn motors, I imagine it would be a similar story for the saturn motors.

i used to use the Clash motors to keep race spec motors fresh & go out & practice with the clash motors because they were cheaper than replacing brushes, wrecking comms etc when trying to get a good car set-up where race speed conditions wasn't really that important but going to take it's toll on the motor because of a days heavy testing at the track. What i found was the lower wind motors tend to wear faster - stupidly fast the lower the wind goes, especially if using a gear ratio that favours acceleration over top end speed.. the clash 15 i think lasted me a morning tops before it went in the bin, the Clash 18's were better but gutless after a few runs & needed fettling with brasso & wet dipping to lift them back up again, the 21t motor though seemed to go on forever & is probably the best of the bunch i've got one sitting in my F1-09 at present & as for the 23 motors they are so slow you may as well just push the car round to get a faster run or if you have kids who you need to slow down, stick the 23 in their car.
