I would use foams in them, it's the same as a slim minispike. I would also glue them on a wide wheel, just like slim mini spikes. Take a used foam out of your rear tyres and cut them to the width of your wheel (or a bit wider). They will be way to agressive when glued on a narrow wheel, or without insert.
For rear minispikes, it depends on the track and what you want, but I think the best available is schumacher tubbie insert. But you car's setup is much more important than the difference between some foams :-)
