Haha, maybe, all I know is, when I made the change it had the effect of:
1. Taking 2 specific bumps better on the main straight, it kicked less
2. Slightly better rotation in corners
So a pretty good combo for me, stiffer feel in corners, better on bumps, the problem being that there were other setup changes and of course track conditions can change, so having used them once I can't say for sure they are better.
In general though, now you can add further toe-in to the Tamiya, I've been wanting to go stiffer but add toe to offset, and this is one way of doing it.
Also, I do think an uncut spring will be better/more consistent than a cut one...
