We still love the old nail -- it's very fast in the stock class or 19-T (10.5). A privateer took the stock motor Championship in Australia last year. He says, "when it's right she drives and handles like a dream."
Make sure you have several belts -- they're not all that expensive. At home, strip the rear suspension & bones, and pop the front camber link so the bones are out. Leave the motor in the car. Now pull the bottom cover and run the car. Shim the idler pulley in or out until the belt is running perfectly in the center. Especially around the front pulley, Dremel away anything that causes rubbing.
If you are using the Losi belt, use the xx-4 pulley set. If you are using our pulleys, (much better ratio) let us know and we will help you get a belt that fits those teeth.
