I had this same urge, due to more choice of wheel radios and high price of descent stick radios. But instantly prooved I couldn't do it on 1st attempt, so it got sold and a stick radio bought (2nd hand bargain).

What you ought to do, is go racing somewhere with Woody and get him to let you try his tranny in his car in practice. Or perhaps his receiver in your car - depends on him really...
