Its the
Battery
Elliminator
Circuit which is what gives your reciever the 6v it needs to operate the radio and servo.
Some older ESC's have a lower amp BEC and its not enough to operate the modern fast servos. Older fast servos's were FET which took their power direct from the ESC/Battery so the BEC only had to power the radio, but with the decline of FET servos the BEC on modern ESC's needs to deliver more power.
There's also the problem of some ESC's not supplying enough power to the Spektrum recievers when using good servo's which causes the Reciever to go into failsafe when under full acceleration and turning at the same time. This can be helped by fitting a reciever capacitor which stops the suddern voltage drop which causes the reciever to go into failsafe but its not a perfect cure.
Ive had just about every power problem there is and Ive solved them all by just using a good ESC, thats why I have 6 LRP Sphere's
