Hey, I haven't used Nitro block before but I once had a similar issue where it started to crack/wrinkle the paint when I was backing (only the white)
I found that its a best to apply backing in thin coats and dry with hair dryer between coats, once the first couple of coats have gone on then it can be applied a little thicker.
Also I tend to leave over night before backing to ensure the paint has fully cured, but this is just my preference.
