It will fit with the fan for sure - but I have also run it without - although when the ambient temp starts to come up in the summer, I'm not sure if I would want to run it without or not.
You're right about the wires - I had forgotten (sorry
) - I popped the case open on the MMP and made a side-exit hole for the receiver wire and the switch.
It was very tight I do remember. But where there's a will....
