This was Kev's first chance to run the Vega outside in the dry since starting to run the car a short while ago. Stotfold is a high grip bumpy track with numerous jumps and it's also the venue for the first national of 2011 so there were a number of top drivers in attendance for some outdoor practice. Kev managed to take TQ with his runs in round 1 and 4 which also turned out to be the only 14 lappers of the day. He was consistently able to put in fastest laps in each run. John Spencer and Matt Owen also managed to make it into the top 10 with there Kyosho Vegas (This was only Matt's second meeting with his). John also had some of the fastest laps of the meeting but unfortunately struggled with consistency due to choosing to do both classes (I think for the last time). In the final Kev pulled out a lead from 2nd place man Danny Mcgee, and apart from a small error riding a hose, had a clean run to take the win by a few seconds from Simon Reeves and Danny in 3rd.
