I dont think lapping cars should have to fight for position. Maybe consider using Fabcount for the meeting, as it will warn drivers if they are being lapped.
Its more a tortoise and hare type of race than having lap by lap battles with lots of cars. 15 cars on track is going to be busy, so if you start trying to make a car that is lapping you fight for position, its just gonna get messy.
Having used the Saturn motors are much better quality than the 15T. Limiting the gearing is a good idea, as with that they, as John said, could last a whole 24hrs.
The spec of the cars for this race is acually quite similar to the 4WD GT class of the SPC. We are using the same Porsche 911GT3 RS shells, wide offset HPI wheels with Pit Shimizu D30 skicks, HPI Flux Pro 17.5T (probably not much faster than the Saturn 20T). You dont have to use a HPI Sprint 2 chassis, any touring car will do. Anyone wanting to get some practice is more than welcome to join us. We start the series at Ardent on April 17th. (We might be able to let you use a different tyre if they have been confirmed by then)
