Well my view is that if you are fast enough to be lapping people a lot then you shouldn't have much trouble getting by, so its not an issue. But if you are close in the race you are likely close on pace, so will have a good old ding dong. We have to try and make it as interesting for ourselves as possible for 24hrs.
Thats why I thought racing manoeuvres should have to be employed for any pass. But only if you want to, you could do the whole let them past and try to tag on, I guess the best way to put it is there is no rule saying you must let a lapping driver pass you. Just spices it up a bit.
On the speed issue. I can't remember the last time I overtook someone on raw power, it always been about the corners so this won't be any different really.
I wonder how the offroad crowd will fair with all this snoring car malarky? Can you nail your lines to get the lap time? Clipping stuff in TC is generally a bigger penalty, better get your precision thumbs out!
