Are you familiar with the turbo-glide transmission? It's a vintage mod for RC10's, Losi RX2 (I think) and ultima.
Their design is making we want to do a 4wd version; with 2 vertical sideplates serving as chassis moterplate and front and rear gearhousing too; rather than the traditional separate cases and sandwhich constructions.
