I can double check my instructions tonight for the belt tensioner, but my first guess would be either a missed step in the layshaft assembly (there are several shims that are specifically placed when you add the slipper clutch), or a screw was substituted in the belt tensioner assembly - I believe the inner screws were flatheads.
I'll check my build tonight and let you know.. I was able to fit the belt tensioner with the single and double slipper builds without any problems, so we will be able to solve the problem
