I have no idea about Mk5's sorry. When I worked for an independent VW specialist MK5's were new enough to still be visiting the main dealer.
Assuming the flywheel/clutch is the same as the mk4 it'll be the same as the mk2/3 bits I used I guess.
I don't have any problems with mine. I fitted it probably about 75k ago. I mainly drive 20 miles hard to work every day and drove to spain and back
