Actually it may not be that they sound any louder than other previous 1/8 electrics its just that the mugen is
really quiet.
Pic below is with the castle electronics installed, i have since switched to a Tekin rx8 and 2250 motor, still on 3s just went up to a 16t pinion. Still brutally fast and just tons more control (drift it through the turns with less traction
). Still my favorite thing to drive, EVER.
