If slash owners want to race against everyone else just book in to the relevent open class
I don't thing that Short course in the UK is big enough to support, open, stock and single make classes, maybe a good idea for a poll?
Personally I'd leave the 1/8th scale, if another class was to be raced I'd rather it be 1/10th Stadium trucks...
