Looks like we have all been doing the same thing then. I have modified my rear tower as Dave using the original top hole as the bottom hole and hand drilling two new ones so the tower is mounted lower. This means that the bottom row of holed is now the same height as the orignal x2c tower (which was my original plan). The top row of holes allows the rear end to be run a lot lower.

I took some measurements on my table with the ride height adjusters wound right up and got the following results:

Top hole middle: ride height 18mm total droop 43mm
Lower hole middle: ride height 22mm total droop 47mm

So you can run it lower in the upper hole but loose a bit of droop.

Red those brass bits look good mate how much does the battery tray one weigh? With regards to the big bores fitting looking at the car now I reckon they would touch but I have approximately 2mm left on the original screw thread so you could space them out at the top and bottom to suit. My friend has some big bores on his x4 so I will see if I can borrow a pair off him and see if we can get them to fit.

Wes, do they do fluorescent green dye? If they do I might do mine.:-)
