basically brushed and brushless will be the same speed ,ie nimh and a brushed motor or lipo and 13.5t brushless ,the confusion comes when u mention the mardave brushless system, this looks like it will run in a different class.Hinkleys rules seem to be the best for this the nimh brushless will have weight added to slow them down and lipos none for an intrim period while everybody goes over to lipos ,these seem fair and bring the classes back to 2 again, the only issue i have is £70 for a motor when there are so many manufactures, 1/12th are developing motors to take advantage of the amp side of the lipos so sooner or later there will be a faster motor out, another £70 then theres short stack 3 and 4 pole different magnets,if someone could convince mardave to make a 13.5t for a fixed price then theres no issues about whos got the best motor ,hes doin them for £40 at the moment and mines lasted 2 years ,i not gettin into a rat race of buying motors time and time again its not the mardave way ,and how do u say to a kid its £70 for a motor if u want to win plus the cost of the car speedo and bits, mardave wont be a starter class and numbers will decline,i hpoe the proposed comittee doesnt just caiter for itself, hinkley seems to be the only ones with the ideas ,maybe they should start there own committee to run for the brca
