I have no first hand experience of them, but have always loved the ingenuity of them. I've come close a few times to getting one, even if it was just for the engineering of the suspension...and to hang it on the wall somewhere, if not not race it.
The few I've seen look good on track, the reputation as said has been of poor durability, but I've heard better and better things on that front recently.
The final straw for me for not getting was watching Ellis Stafford drive one at the Nats last year! It looked awesomely quick, and totally planted, but then his cars normally do I suppose...but the deal breaker for me was how when it flips over...it really just stays over!!!
Not that it goes over easily due to the low CofG, but with conventional suspension you've got features that help the car roll right over, with that layout...not a hope...flat as a pancake!!! Once on your roof your staying there til a Marshall can get to you...and you know what they can be like at times ;-)
If I was a better driver with better knowledge of setup to help deal with grip roll, handling issues, etc, I would give it go...but I still have too many roll over moments at the mo!!!
Still have that little urge for something a bit different at times though
