hi been a renault technician for 5 years does sound like a dodgy coil,remove all 4 10mm bolts or the torx 30 screws start the engine and one by one only one at a time otherwise engine will stall,slowly lift coil out and see if its is contacting with the top of the spark plug.if it is check also that the coil is not arching through side of the casing onto the inside of the cylinder head,most people miss this and think that its sparking and its ok,if there is any sign of this arching this will definately cause a missfire,do the check on all 4 indivdual coils.
also for stalling problems remove and clean the throttle bodie with carb cleaner of oil deposits.
also check and this is from cold check in the morning listen out for a rattling that last only for a few seconds and dissapears if you here this is the dephaser camshaft pulley for the varible valve timing.
