Ive already sent a clear gearcover so i doubt he will be able to do.

You are watching the problem in the wrong direction ..... the Lrp X12 motors are famous for the high temp problem.
The solution is easy, keep your lazer with the plastic support and change your motor
.
Otherwise you will be ending in buying the full Lazer alloy chassis
