I'm sure they use different drivers all the time that's part of the reason for the whole stig persona.
It was a rally driver in the proton last but not a Scandinavian one if it's who I think it was! (who I know has been over filming a few sequences for this series of top gear and the rally stig's build, footwork and car handling was very familiar looking.)
